The Winter Carefree Fine Art & Wine Festival aims to provide a platform for artists to showcase their exceptional talent and creativity. With over 155 juried fine artisans, attendees can expect a diverse range of artistic styles and mediums. From the vibrant strokes of oil paintings to the delicate details captured in watercolor, there is something to captivate every art enthusiast.
Sculptures, both small and life-sized, will grace the festival grounds, showcasing the mastery of artists who have skillfully molded clay, metal, stone, wood, and bronze into captivating forms. The intricate details and unique designs of these sculptures are sure to leave a lasting impression on visitors.
For those with an appreciation for the delicate beauty of hand-blown glass, the festival offers an array of sparkling creations that catch the light in mesmerizing ways. Each piece tells a story through its colors and shapes, reflecting the skill and artistry of the glassblower.
In addition to traditional mediums, attendees will also have the opportunity to explore one-of-a-kind handcrafted jewelry and beautiful photography that captures the essence of a moment, freezing it in time for eternity.
The festival will take place in downtown Carefree, at the corner of Easy and Ho Hum streets. Hours are 10am to 5pm each day. Parking is free all weekend. All together, this event promises to be a weekend to forever remember.
Featured Artist Jan 2024: Chris Dellorco
Born in Los Angeles, Chris’ initial interest in the interplay between art and architectural history began with a degree in Developmental Economics from U.C. Berkeley. Desiring a more creative field, he switched his focus from academics to art and went on to establish himself as one of the country’s foremost illustrators. Although completely self-taught, his art career has spanned all aspects of illustration while specializing in the film industry, children’s products and children’s books. A true renaissance man, along with a degree in Economics and a successful art career, he has also successfully written and directed an award-winning short film.
Chris had been widely considered one of Disney’s top illustrators for print advertising, specializing in Home Video packaging. His covers range from the award winning “The Lion King”, “Snow White” to “Lilo and Stich” and everything in between.
In addition to Chris’ pieces, the festival brings together more than 150 phenomenally talented artists; displaying works of art in all mediums and subject matters. Thunderbird Artists strives to bring a variety of styles, sizes and price points together, in one location, ensuring something for everyone. Surrounding the event is the crown jewel of Carefree, and an amazing oasis in the desert, the gardens is only one of two public botanical gardens in the Valley. Situated on four acres, patrons can stroll and enjoy fascinating desert plant specimens on a self-guided walking tour which leads visitors to experience a purely visual and emotional connection with nature.
Don’t miss this award-winning festival, the Town of Carefree’s ‘Signature Event’, which highlights the artistic works of more than 150 juried fine artists, live music, appetizing food, tempting chocolates and a gorgeous backdrop. Tucker accurately recreates the music and mystique of country music ICON Tim McGraw. Adam and his talented crew have opened up for 42 National Acts all over the United States, such as: Taylor Swift, Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Charlie Daniels, Blake Shelton, Josh Turner, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Tracy Lawrence etc.
